After Chester Bennington sadly passed away in 2017, the future of Linkin Park appeared uncertain. With the singer playing such a big part in the group’s rise to fame, many fans believed it was the end. But over seven years later, Linkin Park took the stage once again with Emily Armstong taking over lead vocals. While the band looked forward to traveling the world with Armstrong at the helm, the group recently announced the cancellation of their concert in Switzerland.

Not the first band to have to cancel a show, the idea of disappointing thousands of fans was never the idea for those who had to make the tough decision. And Linkin Park felt that pressure when they shared a statement on their Instagram Stories. “It is with great sadness that we have had to cancel tonight’s show. We’ve had a medical issue in the band, and are unfortunately not at a spot to be able to perform tonight.”
Linkin Park Moves The Show To 2026
Linkin Park continued their statement, insisting that they discussed the decision thoroughly before announcing it. “We have always loved Switzerland, and were so excited to perform here. We don’t take cancelations lightly and offer our sincere apologies to all of our fans affected by this decision.”
Although not the best news for fans who happened to purchase a ticket, Linkin Park announced the show would be added to their lineup of upcoming concerts. The only problem, it wouldn’t happen until 2026. “We will be rescheduling tonight’s Bern show to be a part of our 2026 European tour so that we can make this up to all of you. We hope to have the 2026 show date and details within the next few days, and fans who purchased tickets will be contacted by their ticketing company with further information and options.”
With most fans waiting years to see Linkin Park perform once again, the idea of waiting one more year might not be that bad. But at the same time, it appeared fans could make the decision on if they wanted to wait or get a refund.
