Country star LeAnn Rimes has left the UK version of The Voice after just one season, according to recent reports. The “How Do I Live” hitmaker served as a coach on the coveted panel of the singing talent competition series. She allegedly wants to focus on her career in the United States.

Luckily, this won’t be the end of Rimes’ involvement with the show. She will serve as a mentor on the US version of The Voice with contemporary Sheryl Crow. Rimes was also a coach on the Australian version of the series last year.
Rimes may have hinted at her departure in an Instagram post from May 2. There, she noted that she’s looking forward to the month of May and that fans should stay tuned for “the exciting new journey I am about to embark on!” The singer also took to Threads a few days prior to say she is “making a very big life/career decision” on something that is “completely new and different.”
A source told The Sun on Sunday that while Rimes enjoyed her time on the British television program, she “wants to focus on her career in the States.” Now, it looks like the team behind The Voice is looking for another singer to take Rimes’ place.
“She was hugely popular with cast and crew and everybody loved having her as part of the team,” the source said. “Bosses are currently on the lookout for another female singer to join the all-star line-up, they haven’t made a decision just yet but are having conversations.”
Who Will Take LeAnn Rimes’ Spot as Coach on ‘The Voice UK’?
According to the source, the show’s producers want to “secure someone who will cause a lot of excitement around the show and bring a new energy to the competition.”
Quite a few things will stay the same with the UK version of the show as well. Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher (of pop rock band McFly) are set to return to the show as a pair. The Voice vets Sir Tim Jones and Will.I.Am are expected to return for the next season as well.
The news came shortly after Danny Jones mentioned that both he and Fletcher were interested in coming back to the show to serve on the coaching panel.
“Me and Tom have a real passion for it, and I think people could see that,” said Fletcher.
