These 4 Sexy Songs Are Peak Baby-Making Music, According to Science

Sometimes it’s nice to set the mood when you’re getting ready to turn up the heat in the bedroom. For some, that involves rose petals, wine, and candles. Others might go for mood lighting, leather, and chains. No matter what setting the mood looks like, finding some sexy songs to toss on a playlist is nearly universal. Picking the right songs isn’t always easy. Luckily, science has narrowed down some of the best baby-making tracks available to stream.

Recently, Anita Fletcher, a sex and relationship expert at Fantasy Co., and the brand’s team conducted a study to find the songs that landed on playlists meant for intimate moments. To narrow things down, they dug into more than 550 Spotify playlists generated by users in the United States tagged with relevant keywords, including sex, making love, intimacy, and BDSM. They looked at more than 32,000 songs and published the top ten. The top four tracks from their list of the most popular sexy time songs are below.

1. “Often” by The Weeknd

Those who don’t listen to The Weeknd might be surprised to find that his songs are so sexy. He appeared on three of the top four songs and also held the No. 6 slot on the list with “Call Out My Name.” This track from his sophomore studio album Beauty Behind the Madness topped the list.

2. “The Hills” The Weeknd

Where “Often” created some serious sensual energy with its almost hypnotic looping beat and deep bass, this song delivers a dark and sexy edge. Distortion in the production, the heavy bass drops, and haunting melody add an air of rawness and a touch of danger to the track.

3. “Love Is a B*tch” by Two Feet

One of the few songs on the list to not include The Weeknd, Two Feet builds lingering sensual energy with this slow, stripped-down, bluesy track. It’s a slow burner that is the perfect soundtrack to building tension and sultry moments.

4. “Or Nah (Remix)” Ty Dolla $ign with The Weeknd, Wiz Khalifa, DJ Mustard

This remix featuring–you guessed it–The Weeknd cuts right to the chase. With its sample of the bed-squeaking beat from the 2004 Trillville hit “Some Cut” and explicit lyrics, it leaves no room for interpretation.
